One way Mapistry can let you know a production limit has been exceeded is through the limit items tab. This is where users can add limits (max, min, and average) to logged items, calculated values, and rolling calculations. Once a limit has been surpassed, users will receive notifications via email.
Items in this tab can only be created when the user has gone through the Logged Items, Calculated Values, and Rolling Calculations tabs first. These items will be pulled in through the Item Name field in a dropdown.
💡Tip: Typing in the name of the desired item will prevent users from scrolling through long lists.
Upper and Lower Limits
If certain items have upper and lower limits, users can indicate this by clicking on "Add a limit item" under the main line and inputting values for the max and min.
Limits for Averages
Users can also create an average limit. Users can choose to receive notifications if the average value of product usage exceeds a certain value over an indicated period of time.
